Merlefest ~ Wilksboro, North Carolina's tribute of Americana music in honor of the memory of Merle Watson. A very large event run very very nicely and takes place on the Wilkes Community College campus with lots of stages and tones of music. Outdoors primitive camping adds to the fun of the entire experience. |
| Bluegrass First Class ~ very nice to have an indoor bluegrass event in the Asheville NC mountain area of the world. Milton Harkey does a mighty fine job of lifting spirits in the bleak mid winter by gathering bluegrass musicians and audiences into the warmth of his hospitality. |
